Review: The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

"She didn't recognize that girl with the flushed cheeks and wild hair, could hardly believe she'd kissed a man and enjoyed it. Was it possible she'd be able to conquer what came next, as well?"

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases--a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.

It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice--with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan--from foreplay to more-than-missionary position...

Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang is a title that begged to be read when I first came across it. Living off the high of several delicious romance titles, I was eager to continue to book binge with another exciting and sexy read.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang felt like the perfect next read. The synopsis promised a heartwarming and refreshing debut novel featuring Stella, our intriguing protagonist whom also has Asperger's. Even so, she's the best at what she does - calculating algorithms. Regrettably, her career of choice has left her with far less experience in dating and relationships than the average 30 year old. Enter Michael Phan, a escort Stella hires to show her all the ropes, including kissing and everything that follows.

"Instead of working on her shiny new dataset, Stella opened up her browser and Googled "California Bay Area male escort service."

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK.

I thought it was perfect, and I rarely come across books that I feel are completely perfect from beginning to end. Stella and Michael were stunning to read! There was a lot more to their relationship than attraction and banter, there was a deep connection to the two that I absolutely adored the moment it sparked on the pages. Stella and Michael also came across as extremely vivid and real. Their own struggles and back stories completely won me over, and I enjoyed how different they both wore from typical heroes and heroines in other romance titles.

I swooned, I awed, and I couldn't resist re-reading it twice before writing my review. The Kiss Quotient was adorably sweet and sexy, and I completely devoured it in one night, only to re-read it again the following night! Romance lovers looking for their next favorite title are highly recommended The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang.
