Blaire has never quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was left brokenhearted. Why else would she have married a skeezy two-timer, just to divorce him less than a year later?

Now Blaire is getting even by becoming one half of Dirty Exes, a PI firm fully committed to humiliating cheating jerks. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself.

Exposing Jessie isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop on Jessie—for a price.

Now caught between two men—one totally right and the other totally wrong—Blaire will need to decide just how much she’s willing to risk…and whom she’s willing to risk it for.

I've been reviewing A LOT of Rachel Van Dyken books recently, and I think it's about time to admit that maybe I have a teeny, tiny addiction to her contemporary romances. It's very tiny, I promise! Just kidding, but in my opinion, reading just one of her books is the equivalent of a gateway drug - the moment you pick one up, you crave more.

"How did we go from you rescuing me from the pantry to a date and then shenanigans in the car?"
"We held hands."

Dirty Exes by Rachel Van Dyken, the first installment in her brand new Liars, Inc. series was a title I couldn't pass up on. Dirty Exes focuses on the perspectives of Blaire, Jessie, and Colin. Blaire's never quite gotten over her short romance with Jessie Beckett, an ex-NFL star she immediately connected with many years ago. But after being left in the dust by Jessie, Blaire took it upon herself to become one half of Dirty Exes, a P.I. firm that's committed to catching cheating spouses and significant others. What she doesn't expect is to receive a job to uncover Jessie from his current wife (soon to be ex). Even more so, she doesn't expect to become caught between wanting Jessie and his best friend Colin.

"Did you hear anything I just said? Should I give my ass and you a minute alone?"

The premise screamed sexy hot revenge and risky romance and I could. not. resist! I was immediately captivated by Blaire's fierce and never-back-down personality. She was an incredible lady boss and knew exactly how to get the job done. Jessie, unfortunately, wasn't immediately likable. I had the hardest time finding his personality charming, but all was remedied with the introduction of Colin, who was a complete charmer. Furthermore, Dirty Exes didn't progress the way I assumed it would. The premise painted a stereotypical contemporary romance plot line, one where characters, who've become estranged, find their way back to each other and everything's sunshine and rainbows. Dirty Exes was not like that, and I absolutely loved the change of pace and twist!

Overall, Dirty Exes was a thousand percent worth the read! It was raunchy, thrilling, and sizzling. I can't wait to read Dangerous Exes, the second installment in the series, which will focus on two particularly interesting characters that appeared in Dirty Exes.
