Isla made one teeny little mistake. Now she and her PI company, Dirty Exes, are being targeted by one seriously angry and furiously sexy ex-quarterback. Jessie freakin’ Beckett. But there’s no way some NFL superhunk is going to take her business away. If only he didn’t make her so hot—and bothered.

Jessie wants payback for a ruined reputation. His plan? Top secret. His hard-to-hide arousal for Isla? Not so much. Especially when they let down their guards and sneak a kiss. Like any juicy scandal, it goes so viral, so fast, that only a good lie can combat the bad press. Mortal enemies in a fling? No way. Um…this is love!

Actually…could it be?

Isla’s not faking it. Jessie can’t. As the game of let’s pretend gets real, Jessie forgets all about revenge. That’s the problem. His plan is already out of his control. Now it could undo everything they’ve been trying to build. Coming clean may be the only thing that can save it.

After reading and loving the first installment in Rachael Van Dyken's Liars Inc. series, DIRTY EXES, I knew I was going to fall hard for Dangerous Exes. For those unfamiliar with Dirty Exes, one of the most addictive books in my collection, Dirty Exes follows the story of Blaire, Jessie, and Colin. After her sour and short-lived romance with ex-NFL star Jessie Beckett, Blaire's never the same again. However, from the pain rose DIRTY EXES, a P.I. firm she runs with her dear friend and partner, Isla. Through a twist of fate, Jessie steps back into the picture, thus leading to chaos, romance, and sweet, sexy revenge.

"There was a very fine line between love and hate.
Or in my case, a very thin fence where hate decides to set up across the street and stare at you through binoculars even though you repeatedly threatened to get a restraining order.
I glared.
Jessie freaking Beckett."

Now in DANGEROUS EXES, the focus shifts to Isla and aforementioned ex-NFL star Jessie. It follows immediately after the events of Dirty Exes, and to be honest, it left me BREATHLESS. No lie, Blaire and Colin's relationship in Dirty Exes was a steamy one - forbidden and delicious. However, with that said, Isla and Jessie's flings with one another totally stepped up the game! I was anxious to learn more about Isla, her quirks and her insecurities, and see how they would meld with what we already know about Jessie. It was a roller coaster and a mess of emotion, but even through the thickest of the drama, I absolutely could not wait to see what became of Isla and Jessie!

"I refused to acknowledge my feelings in that moment.
Because I was afraid that hers weren't the same."

Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken was nearly the death of me. I was trapped within it's pages, filled with emotion, for what felt like hours, but it was so worth it! If you're a sucker for love, redemption, and steam, Dangerous Exes is your next must-read. Dangerous Exes can be read as a standalone title, and does not require Dirty Exes, however it is a delicious bonus to have read one after the other.
