{Event Recap} Frenzy Presents - Spring 2019 Preview

On February 24th, 2019 I had the pleasure of being invited by and attending the HarperCollins Canada "Spring 2019 Frenzy Presents" event. If you haven't heard of the event before, it takes place at least a couple of times a year, and is hosted by HarperCollins Canada's Frenzy team, whom are devoted to sharing the love for their most anticipated young adult releases. (Noted: you can also check out my previous recaps through the "Frenzy" search tag here on the blog.)

This year's Spring Frenzy Presents had an astounding 100+ attendees! Wow! Myself and other OG bloggers reminisced over the days when it was 10-15 of us in a room, sitting around a table, chatting about books for hours on end. The way blogger events have changed over the years is astounding, and I'm glad to see so many new book-loving faces. At this year's event, I arrived early, and indulged in coffee and some delicious brunch treats. Around the expansive event room, I enjoyed the games they'd set up for us, like "Pick Your Fave Cover" (so difficult to choose). They'd even included a large foam board for sharing Twitter handles - fun! Following all the bookish game-play and catching up with bookish friends, we were greeted by the Frenzy team, and started with the most exciting part of the event - talking books!

Below you will find a complete list of all the titles discussed at this year's Spring Frenzy Presents. My list includes the release date, genre, and is additionally directly linked to it's respective Goodreads book listing for easy access to your TBR list.

Spring 2019 YA Novels
(πŸ’“- Indicate a book on my must-read list)

Following the presentation of this Spring's most anticipated YA books, we swiftly moved along to trivia. Winner's were given the option to pick from an assortment of prizes, including books, an Indigo Book Box, and tickets to the Angie Thomas event at the AGO. I'm not much of a trivia player, however it was fun seeing everyone have a go at the wheel, matching quotes to titles, and naming characters! Not long after trivia was completed, everyone broke off into groups, reconnecting and chatting about books that caught our attention.

This year's spring Frenzy Presents event was an absolute blast! I came home with a long list of books I'm pleasantly eager to pre-order and read, and had plenty of fun with book-loving friends. Thanks again, HarperCollins Canada and Frenzy for not only inviting me, but for putting together yet another awesome event!
